Mr. Vicuña distinguished himself throughout his academic career – both as an undergraduate and subsequently as a law student – with multiple scholar designations, numerous honors awards and a variety of impressive fellowships and scholarships.
Summary Of Career Highlights:
As Senior Practicum Associate at the New Business Practicum: Mr. Vicuña interviewed and counseled business start-ups on a broad range of issues including entity formation, business regulation, risk management, contracts and taxation. In addition, Mr. Vicuña researched laws pertinent to clients’ proposed ventures to help them pivot to more viable business models.
As Legal Intern at the National Labor Relations Board: Mr. Vicuña investigated claims of unfair labor practices and presented findings, legal analysis, and recommendations to supervising Attorneys and the Regional Director.
As Law Clerk at the Legal Aid Society: Mr. Vicuña assisted with all aspects of the Wage and Hour Enforcement Litigation Program. Mr. Vicuña researched legal issues, investigated facts, and drafted memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and motions.
As Summer Associate at Sanford Wittels & Heisler LLP: Mr. Vicuña worked closely with attorneys in all aspects of employment class-action litigation. Among other responsibilities, Mr. Vicuña drafted motions in limine, legal memoranda, affidavits, and discovery requests, and assisted in drafting briefs relating to class certification and mediation.
